Stroco Manufacturing, Inc. specializes in high precision machined and fabricated aerospace parts, including shims, brackets, nut plates, terminal boards, cover plates and receptacle strips. Founded in 1963 by the late Ray Strother, Stroco and is now owned and operated by the third generation of his family. Achieving excellence is the guiding principle applied to everything they do, including on-time delivery, the highest quality products and excellent customer service.

To reach the next level of growth, company officials, in early 2008, launched a program, assisted by Missouri Enterprise, to earn their AS9100 registration. A little over a year later, in April 2009, the company passed its third party audit and was officially registered to the AS9100 standard, the most current quality management system certification for the aerospace industry.

To help the company earn its registration, Missouri Enterprise quality management specialists helped Stroco re-vamp its quality manual and provided training, documentation preparation and implementation assistance, auditing and on-site support.

Company President Keri D. Welhart talked about what the achievement meant, “Here at Stroco we are continuously pushing the envelope, from our cutting edge equipment to the formal standards we integrate as daily practices. Receiving the AS9100 certification is one milestone in our overall journey toward achieving perfection. This achievement has given all Stroco employees an increased sense of pride in the products we manufacture every day.”

Welhart also said that the AS9100 registration will mean several million dollars in increased and retained sales and the creation of 20 new positions. “AS9100 is allowing us to spread our wings in new ways. Doors are opening and our reach is extending to heights we never imagined.”

Stroco Manufacturing, Inc. is committed to sustaining its reputation in the years to come and determined to adapt, grow and respond to industry standards as they change in the future, Welhart said.
