ASCM Training

Missouri Enterprise provides Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) training, presented by ASCM certified trainers.

The Basic Supply Chain Management [BSCM] course, generally taught in three consecutive days, will introduce personnel to modern manufacturing techniques and is a perfect preparation for employment in the manufacturing and service industries.

The basic concepts in managing the complete flow of materials in a supply chain from suppliers to customers are covered in the BSCM module. This module covers manufacturing, distribution, service, and retail industries. This includes the fundamental relationships in the design, planning, execution, monitoring, and control that occur. Topics include:

  • Understanding basic business wide concepts, including understanding various supply chain environments;
  • Managing demand, including markets and customer expectations;
  • Introduction to Manufacturing Control and Planning Systems;
  • Designing products, processes, and information systems; and
  • Understanding supply issues including inventory costs, functions, and metrics.

Participants are prepared for the ASCM BSCM examination, but the emphasis is placed upon using the information in the work environment. 

This flagship ASCM certification, is the Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), a 5 semester course, which build upon a firm foundation of Supply Chain Management which can help develop both existing personnel and new hires. It is also taught by Missouri Enterprise Project Managers who are ASCM Certified Trainers.

Both courses can be taught at a company site and can be scheduled to meet company needs.
