Marshfield
JRV Technologies in Marshfield, Missouri, is a family owned and managed manufacturing company specializing in precision CNC machining, milling, tooling and other miscellaneous metal fabrication. For years, they’ve served this local farming community and beyond with custom parts and components, including making some items for the oil field industry. But more recently, they’ve seen a growing opportunity serving the petroleum production market with components that require higher tolerances and tighter specifications.
After developing connections to expand their presence serving petroleum producers, JRV recognized they needed to improve their quality and production standards to grow further into the marketplace, and they needed the proper certifications to prove their capabilities. That meant getting their shop compliant with the ISO 9001 standard. It also meant meeting key American Petroleum Institute standards, including API 5CT program for oil well casing and tubing, for which JRV makes fittings, as well the API Monogram Program, which facilitates the consistent manufacturing of products that conform to API standards.
JRV knew Missouri Enterprise has a proven, successful track record helping manufacturers prepare for, achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification, so they brought in one of their Quality Manage Systems experts to help. They also charged Missouri Enterprise’s Project Managers with the task of helping them achieve the highly specialized API standards. It was the right decision for JRV.
“Missouri Enterprise did great,” says Jason Foster, COO at JRV Technologies. “They were professional every step of the way, and they were outstanding at giving a critical assessment of our operation, showing us specific areas for improvement…from sourcing and supply chain to shop operations to shipping. They built us a quality manual from what we learned, and then helped us implement everything.”
With the help of the experts at Missouri Enterprise, JRV Technologies has expanded their sales into the petroleum and oil field market, and is making much higher tolerance items with much tighter specifications, such as Centralizers to help protect main pipes in the event of ground shift, Fraq-Seal Assemblies and other miscellaneous components.
